🎉 Celebrating Our Baseline Assessment Results

Dear iPrep Families,

We recently completed our fall NWEA MAP Growth and i-Ready reading and math assessments. These assessments provide a baseline—a starting point that helps us understand what each scholar already knows and what support or enrichment they need next.

We have several reasons to celebrate:

• Nearly all scholars completed the i-Ready assessments: 119 scholars in reading and 120 scholars in math.
• In i-Ready Reading, 69% of scholars are performing on grade level or within one grade level of current expectations.
• In i-Ready Math, 59% of scholars are performing on grade level or within one grade level of current expectations.
• Only a small percentage of scholars—4% in reading and 6% in math—were identified as performing three or more grade levels below.
• NWEA results show scholars performing across every national achievement band, including scholars scoring above the 80th percentile.
• Kindergarten demonstrated encouraging reading performance, while first grade showed a promising foundation in math.

Because these are beginning-of-year assessments, the results are not final grades and do not define what our scholars can accomplish. They give our teachers valuable information to plan instruction, set individual goals, monitor growth, and provide targeted support.

A major way we will respond to this data is through Acceleration, our schoolwide Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) time. During Acceleration, scholars will receive instruction matched to their individual learning needs. This may include targeted intervention, additional practice, small-group instruction, or enrichment. Groups and supports may change throughout the year as scholars demonstrate progress.

Families will receive information about their scholar’s individual results TOMORROW. We encourage you to review the reports as a starting point and celebrate the opportunity for growth. Our goal is not simply to identify where scholars are today—it is to use the data intentionally to help every scholar make meaningful progress.
